KVAS has had an explosion of changes in 2023-2024! We have changed domains to KVASWV.ORG and migrated an older development site to be our new website. The new platform is still under construction and the data that was migrated was set up in 2022. We have completed our second observatory the Waugh-Haxton Observatory which houses a very historic telescope, tripled our concrete pad area for star parties. and setup area for telescopes. With the help of the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Lorenzo Shortt, assembled a dome donated by Scott Miller, the Varileith Observatory to make our 3rd on-site Observatory. Lastly, we hosted the 35th Astronomy Weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park in Sept 2024. On top of that, we have been developing educational programs and building new relationships with other Astronomical organizations. And there is even more to come so come out and see what is happening and get involved!
